Why is UVA and UVB protection critical?
UVA rays penetrate deep into the dermis, the skin’s thickest layer. Unprotected exposure can lead to premature skin aging and wrinkling. UVB rays will usually burn the superficial layers of your skin. It plays a key role in the development of skin cancer. This product is suitable for these skin types.
Normal skin: No or few imperfections, no severe sensitivity, barely visible pores, a radiant complexion
Sensitive skin: Reaction to common ingredients, redness, itching, dryness
Dry skin: Dull complexion, rough complexion, red patches, more prone to wrinkles, skin is itchy and flaky
Oily skin: Skin appears shiny, enlarged pores, more prone to acne
Combination skin: Oily skin in some areas and dry skin in others.
The moment I put this on I was in love. I have been using the Universal Tinted all year and when this one came out I had to try it. This one will now replace the other and will be the only face sunscreen I will ever use. I am obsessed!!!
The formula is nice, it feels good, is thicker than the original tinted moisturiser but still blends well.
It definitely leaves a pinkish/white cast on my Olive skin, so I can't see how this would work in the summer for me, or on deeper toned skin. I don't know why they advertise this as a universal tint (see my photo in natural light with no makeup or filters - that is me at my lightest shade in the Winter. You can see the contrast between my face and chest and the cast around my hairline, I look ghostly).
The finish is nice it gives a very light coverage, you could use this in place of a sheer foundation if it matched your skin tone. I use this over my serum and moisturiser (I leave about a minute or two for them to absorb) and it doesn't pill at all. The finish on me is soft and glowy, I just wish they would offer more colours for darker skin as I would replace my foundation with this product.
The packaging is also really annoying like all of their sunscreens. I know the pump keeps air out but when it gets to the end there is still a lot of product inside which is difficult to get out, and you can't open up the bottle. I prefer tube sunscreens where you can scrape everything out once the product starts running out (like Paula's Choice mineral spf).
My skin is yellow undertone, dry/acne prone and I am 38 years old.
I really love this product. I live in Florida and it’s perfect under make up or by itself. I have been looking for a tinted moisturizer that doesn’t make me break out for a long time!! I found it!!
This sunscreen applies like a dream and leaves a beautiful glowy finish. Perfect as a last step to my AM routine!
